The Civility First Annual Art and Photography Contest
Art & Photography Contest Open to All Ages.  

Civility First and the Pacific NorthWest Art School invite participants of all ages to submit an original piece of artwork or photograph with the theme of “Choose Civility – Respect Others, Listen, & Be Kind."  CASH PRIZES! $100 for first place and $50 for a runner-up in each of the three age divisions.: Child (12 and under), Youth (13 - 18), and Adult (over 18).

Guidelines:

• Original artwork size limitations:
• Artwork/photo design area – no larger than 8" x 10"
• Minimum margin – ¼" per side
• Maximum margin – 1" per side
  Maximum overall size – 9" x 12"
• Media: marker, pencil, paint, computer, photography, fabric, mixed media, etc. 
• Image: Only original art created solely by the contestant with no copyrighted characters or images is eligible.

Judging:
The Pacific NorthWest Art School in Coupeville will judge the artwork. We anticipate announcing the winners by August 25, 2023. There will be a gallery featuring the photos of the entries on the Civility First website. Please hold onto your original art in case we are able to have a traveling exhibit in the fall.

Submitting:
Please submit a high resolution, minimum 300 dpi, digital photo of the art along with other information about the entry and the artist online at civility1st@gmail.com no later than August 15, 2023.   You may also mail submissions to: Civility First,  P.O.
