The Civility Awards recognize efforts to depolarize discourse and bring people together. The Awards celebrate individuals, businesses and/or groups in our region who work to mend relationships, build bridges, and who are pursuing and engaging in meaningful dialogue connecting people with diverse views. The award criteria stress respect, integrity, kindness, engagement, inclusiveness, objectivity and seeking common ground.
Nominees must have worked with or treated others in an honorable and respectful manner regardless of political affiliation, faith and religious belief, age, race, color, gender, or sexual orientation. The deadline for nominations is October 20, 2023. Winners will be announced in November.
